abylon READER is a freeware file decryptor app and encryption tool, developed by abylonsoft for Windows. It's pretty well-designed.
The download has been tested by an editor here on a PC and a list of features has been compiled; see below. We've also created some screenshots of abylon READER to illustrate the user interface and show the overall usage and features of this file decryption program.
Allows to decrypt and/or verify signed, encrypted or SME files
The software abylon READER is the free addition to the abylonsoft programs abylon BASIC, abylon ENTERPRISE and abylon CRYPTMAIL. This allows signed, encrypted or SME files to be opened on third-party computers without the recipient having to purchase a license. Of course, this is only possible if the corresponding password is known or if the hardware key or certificate is available.
Standardized files with the following file extensions (Symmetrical Encryption: CR2 / Asymmetrical Encryption: CRP, PK7, P7M, VSP7, ASC, TBE / Signed) are currently being processed: P7M, VSP7, TBS, SGN / Digital Envelope file: SME) is supported. The functions are offered as PlugIn simply via the menu of the MS File Explorer (right mouse button).

abylon READER is provided under a freeware license on Windows from data encryption software with no restrictions on usage. Download and installation of this PC software is free and 24.10.4.0 is the latest version last time we checked.
What version of Windows can abylon READER run on?
abylon READER can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
